Project SEARCH is an international program model empowering young adults with significant disabilities to make a successful transition from school to adult life. Participants will be taught relevant, marketable skills while immersed in the working world. Project SEARCH - Hospitality 1080-hour program, at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa, provides young adults with significant disabilities quality unpaid internships for hands-on training and career exploration. The program takes place entirely within the host business, Renaissance, where total immersion in the workplace facilitates the teaching and learning process through continuous feedback and the acquisition of employability and competitive work skills. The goal for each intern upon completion of the program is competitive employment in the community.

Project SEARCH is an international program model empowering young adults with significant disabilities to make a successful transition from school to adult life. Participants will be taught relevant, marketable skills while immersed in the working world. Project SEARCH – Distribution Logistics 1080-hour program, at SanMar, provides young people with significant disabilities comprehensive training in distribution logistics coupled with quality unpaid internships for hands-on training and career exploration. West-MEC staff deliver Distribution Logistics and general employability curricula during the morning classroom; instruction is reinforced as interns acquire employability and competitive work skills through rotation assignments. The program takes place entirely within SanMar’s distribution facility. Interns receive support, as needed, in their rotations. Counseling services are also available. The goal for each intern upon completion of the program is competitive employment in the community.

The program takes place entirely within Luke Air Force Base facility. Interns receive support, as needed, in their rotations. The goal for each intern upon completion of the program is competitive employment in the community.
